Healing Across Centuries: Muslim Physicians at the Forefront is an evening celebrating the legacy and continued impact of Muslim physicians—past, present and future. Hosted by the Muslim Medical Association of Canada (MMAC) at the University of Manitoba, this event highlights the enduring relationship between Islam and medicine, from the pioneering scholars of the Islamic Golden Age to today’s trailblazers in healthcare.
Through engaging panel discussions and meaningful conversations, attendees will explore how faith, ethics, and compassion continue to shape medical practice and patient care. The event will feature Muslim physicians, residents, and medical students sharing their journeys and insights into balancing professional excellence with spiritual and community values.
Open to both Muslim and non-Muslim attendees, Healing Across Centuries aims to foster understanding, dialogue, and appreciation for the diverse contributions that continue to enrich the medical community today
