Lifesavers 2022

  • 24 September 2022
  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Virtual (Zoom) and ISNA Canada (Mississauga, ON)

Have you ever been in a medical emergency situation, or wondered what you would do if someone was having a heart attack, stroke, choking, or having a seizure?

80% of cardiac arrests occur in the home. Knowing lifesaving skills like CPR, how to use a defibrillator, and recognizing signs of a medical emergency early can save someone's life - be that a loved one, a friend, or someone you barely know - until professional help arrives.

The Muslim Medical Association of Canada (MMAC) and ISNA Canada are partnering to bring you Lifesavers 2022 - a FREE workshop where you may learn these skills and have your questions answered by Canadian Muslim physicians.

"And whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity." [Qur'an, 5:32]

Note: This is not an official CPR training course that leads to BLS or ALS certification. This course covers bystander CPR and training on how to properly use an AED. All registrants are encouraged to sign up for official CPR courses following this free workshop. Virtual attendees will not be able to benefit from hands-on practice during the workshop.
